The Perform WELL Workshop Series is led by The WELL's certified personal trainers to introduce, improve, and refine technique on various fitness topics. PWW's are free, and held on the first Thursday of each month from 5-6pm. The topic of the workshop changes monthly. These workshops are instructional and designed as a "learn-to" style class. Sign up in advance below through MINDBODY. Drop-ins are welcome if space is available day of. Intro To Boxing

February 6, 5:00-6:00pm

Location: WELL Performance Center

Intro To Boxing will focus on boxing technique, form, and conditioning drills. In this workshop you will learn the 6 basic boxing punches - jab, cross, lead hook, rear hook, lead uppercut, and rear uppercut. This is a free beginner level workshop. Register in advance through MINDBODY below, or stop by the Fitness Desk. Gloves will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own gloves and wraps if have them. Be prepared to sweat! 

 

 

Kettlebell Basics

March 5, 5:00-6:00pm

Location: WELL Turf 

Kettlebells are not a fitness trend, they have been around for 100’s of years and trusted by some of the best in fitness for the incredible results they can generate. Kettlebell Basics is a free beginner level workshop. Participants will learn proper form to jump start their Kettlebell journey to get the best results while avoiding injury. Register in advance through MINDBODY below, or stop by the Fitness Desk.

 

 

Foam Rolling & Mobility

April 2, 5:00-6:00pm

Location: WELL Performance Center

Foam rolling is a simple self-manual therapy technique often used to improve flexibility, recovery, and athletic performance. Participants will learn foam rolling and mobility techniques for the entire body to improve rest and recovery. Register in advance through MINDBODY below, or stop by the Fitness Desk.

 

 

How to HIIT

May 7, 5:00-6:00pm

Location: Outdoor Turf Area

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a form of interval training, a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods, until too exhausted to continue. Participants will learn proper form to maximize results and avoid injury. Register in advance through MINDBODY below, or stop by the Fitness Desk.
