In California one can register to vote online. To register to vote in California you must be:
A United States citizen and a resident of California
18 years old or older on Election Day,
Not currently in state or federal prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony, and
Not currently found mentally incompetent to vote by a court
Please remember that one must re-register to vote if you have changed your name or change your address since the last election. Re-registering to vote is simple and can also be done online. To find out if you are currently registered to vote, you can check status of your voter registration online.
Same-day voter registration is available to voters who missed the registration deadline and is available at county elections offices, all polling places, and all vote centers in California.
