The specialist assists with processing membership adjustments and provides administrative support for the non-student membership portfolio, ensuring accurate records and a positive member experience for faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Background/Education: Fatima earned her B.S. in General Biology from Sacramento State University, where she developed a strong foundation in problem-solving, curiosity, and understanding how systems work together. In 2021, she joined The WELL as a part-time student staff attendant in the Member Services Department, where she discovered her passion for creating meaningful member experiences. Shaped by her family and Mexican heritage, Fatima brings values of strength, resilience, and service into everything she does. Her background in biology continues to shape how she approaches her role today, leading with knowledge, attention to detail, and genuine care for the people she serves. Through various roles supporting both members and student staff, she remains deeply committed to membership recruitment, retention, and fostering a welcoming environment where everyone feels supported and valued. Fun Fact: Fatima is a professional hobby-collector. Give her a 'How-To' video, and she'll either be building a bookshelf from scratch or attempting a new recipe. Ashlyn Tamayo
Role at The WELL: Coordinator, Marketing Strategy and Outreach, responsible for The WELL’s comprehensive marketing strategy—including digital, print, social media, and engagement. Pronouns: She/They Background/Education: Ashlyn attended Sac State for their undergrad, where they received their Bachelor's of Science in Recreation Administration. During this time, she worked at The WELL's Fitness Desk, as well as the role of student supervisor of staff development. Upon graduating, Ashlyn had an internship with Walt Disney Studios in Southern California, and later worked with the American Cancer Society in the North Bay. After a couple years away, Ashlyn returned to Sacramento, where she worked with lululemon focusing on guest experience and digital engagement, along with pop-up events. She's excited to bring her energy and experience back to The WELL at Sac State. Fun Fact: Ashlyn had the opportunity to attend red carpet premieres for Pixar's Inside Out and Marvel's Ant-Man. Pronouns: She, Her, Hers Background/Education: Maby completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology at UC Riverside and earned a master's degree in Sports Psychology from San Jose State University. She gained valuable experience in campus recreation throughout her college career, serving as an Intramural Sports Referee/Supervisor and an Operations Supervisor. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and an M.A. in Sports Management from the University of the Pacific. Clarissa Jimenez
Role at The WELL: Clarissa provides management for all fitness operations and programs including personal training, group fitness, fitness desk staff, and fitness equipment. Background/Education: Clarissa attended San Diego State for her undergraduate degree, and earned her M.S in Kinesiology, Integrative Wellness from Point Loma Nazarene University. While in San Diego, she worked in a variety of health and wellness settings as a Personal Trainer and ultimately ended her time in that area as a Study Coach for the American Council on Exercise. Clarissa started her journey with Sacramento State University in 2019 and her favorite part of working at The WELL is connecting and building relationships with the students. Fun Fact: Clarissa was originally a vocal performance major before she fell in love with health and wellness. Favorite thing to do at The WELL: Take classes! Role at The WELL: Kendra coordinates the Group Fitness classes, programs, and special events. Background/Education: Kendra has over 30 years of working in the Recreation & Fitness Industry both as a student and a professional in corporate and campus recreation programs. She holds national certifications through the American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). B.S.- Recreation Education/Fitness Management at The Ohio State University. Go Buckeyes! Victoria Butler
Role at The WELL: Tori provides administrative support to The WELL’s Executive Director, Director, and full-time staff; as well as managing student Reception Staff. Pronouns: She/Her Background/Education: Over 14 years of experience in office administration including titles such as Customer Service, Branch Administration Supervisor, Office Manager and VP of Operations. After over 10 years in the alarm monitoring industry, I recently worked at a local contract screen printer for almost 4 years and really enjoyed the challenge of learning such a creative and exciting new trade. Fun Fact: Although I love music and love singing I have a terrible singing voice. So if you ever see me in my car and the volume of my music seems a little excessive, it’s probably a song that I really enjoy singing along to but I’m trying to drown out the sound of my own voice!
